In April 2017 Guildford Sabres Handball Club was created by two PE teachers with the hope of providing an opportunity for their students and young people of Guildford, a chance to play handball outside of school.

The club has grown over the last 6 years to have many members pass through its doors from  U14's, 16's, U19's, Mens and Ladies Teams.

In 2022, Christ's College, where the club started from, became U15 Boys National Schools Champions. In June 2023, Guildford Sabres U16 Boys became England Handball National Champions.

After the success of Guildford Sabres Juniors, comes the birth of The Handball Academy Ltd. The Handball Academy has a vision to create more clubs across England, where young people have the opportunity to access this great game. 

In September 2023, Guildford Sabres will continue to thrive alongside our newest club Petersfield Jags Handball Club.
